Hotel St. Clair Apartments is located in King-Lincoln Bronzville Community of Columbus, Ohio. The apartment complex was revitalized for students attending near by colleges and young professionals interested in downtown urban living. JPID captured the classic tasteful accents of the building’s history and mixed in an uplifting,  modern,  aesthetic, pleasing residents and the community.
Judith Politi Interior Design specified all finishes in the lobby, stairwells, hallways, common areas, and individual apartments. We provided material, plumbing fixture, and decorative lighting fixture specifications. JPID also prepared millwork and furniture plans for the units and common spaces. We have been involved with the project from the beginning to end; assisting with landscaping, exterior finishes, wayfinding and punch-out as construction is completed.

Hotel St. Clair has an eclectic history, that hasmade designing and rejuvenating the building an absolute pleasure. The building was a hospital in the early 1900s. Some details and finishes have been preserved the mahogany wood trim around doors, arches defining the location of the nurses stations, and the white hexagon tile floor that  was in the operating rooms.
The year 1948, the building was converted into an upscale hotel. Including extravagant amenities of telegraph service, air conditioning, an elevator, valet and more. Famous entertainers have stayed in the hotel and enjoyed its luxuries.
In the early 2000s, the building was marked as an Ohio Historical Landmark. Most recently it housed senior living. The lastest renovation will provide students and young professionals with a place to live with a rich history.
